I drove from Florida to Watertown, NY (about 35 miles south of the Canadian Border) in August of 1990 and met with Audrey Benbow of Sirhan Borzoi of Ontario, Canada to meet her and take home my foundation bitch, Sonya. Bonnie Lapham of Steppenwolf Borzoi came with me on the trip when I stopped off in Glens Falls, NY. Sonya also came to the United States with her brother Argos.
I stayed with Bonnie Lapham and her family for 4 more days after picking them up before I headed back to Florida. I was very pleased with Sonya and she was a social butterfly
Sonya was injured and was not shown beyond winning a point under judge Kathleen Andrews. However, Sonya was bred from by me and produced some exceptional get. Sonya was my foundation bitch and she was a very lovely lady and very intelligent. I am so thrilled to have had Sonya. |
